We love to spend our day sharing in the love of a couple and their friends and families. We become friends with many and we truly wish them as much as they feel the day they exchange rings and their special vows through all the years of the their lives.
This wedding day, we celebrated with them in Morris, Illinois on a family farm. What a beautiful day it was. Midwest farm weddings are gorgeous.
Each wedding we photograph we ask some questions to the couple about how the met, or their engagement story. It is fun to hear so many different stories…and in their own words. Here is Heather and Devins. ….
*We met at Skooters Roadhouse, a country bar and grill.
*He proposed while we were hunting together. Hunting is one of our favorite things to do together and he wanted me to be surprised. He was hoping that the day he was proposing was also going to be the day that I get my first deer but unfortunately it did not turn out that way. He eneded up getting a deer (one of the many he has shot) so I think its safe to say that the competitive side in me came out and made me mad. As I stomped down from the deer stand, him waiting at the bottom, I was mad but caught on to how funny he was acting and then he got down on one knee and proposed!
*Our most favorite memory together is probably when we took our first big trip together. We went to Maine. The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing and the view was gorgeous. We ate ALOT of seafood! Enough to hold us over for at least a few months!
